If your academic documents are issued in a non-English language, you must submit a complete, literal, word-for-word English translation in the same format as the original academic document.

For professional translators in the U.S., we recommend you search the American Translators Association members for an accepted professional translator.

Official secondary (high school) documents are sent to MSU Denver directly from an official source, such as your school, ministry of education office, or examination board. Your documents must show all final results and a graduation date.
If you do not know which documents are required for your country, please contact the International Admissions Office
If the document is issued in a language other than English, we must receive a professional English translation – in addition to the official document directly from the issuing institution in the original (native) language.
We do not require a credential evaluation for secondary level academic documents.

A course by course evaluation completed by a professional transcript evaluation service, in addition to the university transcript(s), will be required.
The evaluation service must be listed as a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), such as WES or ECE.
Official evaluation reports must be sent directly to MSU Denver by the evaluation service to [email protected].
We suggest that you choose a service that can send us a copy of your verified transcript(s) together with the evaluation report.

Requirements for Financial Documentation
We cannot accept documents for fixed or non-liquid assets such as: salary/employment letters, asset valuations, tax returns, real estate valuations, credit card statements, or stock market statements. We also cannot accept business accounts unless your employer is sponsoring your education.
** If the bank documents are not in English, we may require a professional English translation AND the original language documents issued by the bank
Financial Affidavit Form
The F-1 Financial Affidavit Form is completed by yourself and your financial sponsors. Please complete all sections and submit the form together with the bank statement.
Financial Documentation for Accompanying Dependents
If you will be accompanied by dependents (spouse and/or minor children) who will need to apply for F-2 visas, your financial support documents must show sufficient funds for your spouse and/or minor children, as well. Current expenses are $10,000 for a spouse and $10,000 for each child.
If you will be accompanied by dependents (spouse and/or minor children) who will need to apply for F-2 visas, you must submit the following documents:
– Dependents for F-2 Visa Status Form
– Copies of their passport identity page(s)
– Other immigration documents (if they are currently in the U.S. on another visa type), if applicable
